A seven-day journey through Tanzania where the wild still breathes and reveals the natural soul of Africa
There are journeys you take and then there are journeys that quietly change something inside you. Our team, led by our Managing Director Derrick Remember, recently curated a seven-day experience through Tanzania. The trip was not just about destinations, it was about feeling the land, meeting its people, and rediscovering the beauty of simplicity and wilderness. From the busy coastal markets to the roar of lions in the Serengeti night, every moment carried its own story. Come through for a glimpse of how it went down. This is the journey, told as it unfolded.
Day One: A Taste of the Unexpected
The journey began with a flight from Entebbe to Kilimanjaro, with a layover in Dar es Salaam. What could have been just a long wait turned into a memorable cultural encounter. With a five-hour transit and a domestic connection ahead, there was time to step outside and experience the city.
At a local market, the rhythm of everyday Tanzanian life was on full display busy, colorful, alive. A small restaurant offered one of the most authentic highlights of the day: no forks, no spoons just clean hands and tradition. Eating with hands, the “natural fork,” brought a sense of connection to the culture that no cutlery could offer. The food was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
By evening, the journey resumed from Julius Nyerere International Airport, leading to a late-night arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A driver was already waiting, ensuring a smooth transfer to Njiiro Legacy Hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Day Two: Forest Trails and Flowing Waters
The morning began at ease, no rush, just breakfast, fresh air, and quiet moments in the gardens. Soon after, Brenda Molel arrived, bringing both warmth and organization to the journey ahead. Alongside her was Eric, the guide whose knowledge would shape the days to come.
The first adventure led just outside Arusha to Napuru Falls. The trek through lush greenery was both refreshing and demanding a balance of effort and reward. Along the way, birds, butterflies, and monkeys made the forest feel alive.
After about an hour and a half of hiking, the falls revealed themselves 78 meters of cascading water, surrounded by cool mist and a rejuvenating breeze. It was the kind of place that makes you pause and simply take it all in.
The day wound down with a relaxed city tour before returning to the hotel.
Day Three: Into Tarangire’s Wild Heart
An early start marked the journey to Tarangire National Park. The landscape shifted into classic safari scenery, acacia woodlands, vast savannahs, and ancient baobab trees standing like monuments of time.
Wildlife was everywhere. Large herds of elephants moved gracefully across the plains, birds filled the skies, and a leopard sighting added a moment of quiet excitement. Lunch at the Matete picnic area brought a chance to rest while still immersed in nature.
As the sun lowered, the journey continued to Karatu, where Karatu Villas offered comfort, warmth, and exceptional hospitality.

Day Four: The Wonder of Ngorongoro
The day began early, heading toward the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. At the crater viewpoint, the world seemed to open into something extraordinary the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth.
Descending into the crater felt like stepping into a living ecosystem untouched by time. Lions, rhinos, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests roamed freely in a dense concentration rarely seen anywhere else.
Lunch was taken in the wild, surrounded by this incredible natural theatre. As the day came to an end, the journey continued to Ndutu for an overnight stay at Kontiki Migration Camp. Here, the experience became even more intimate canvas tents, warm hospitality, and the distant roar of lions echoing through the night.

Day Five: The Magic of the Serengeti
After a refreshing start helped by a taste of mtori, the traditional banana soup the day unfolded in the vast plains of Serengeti National Park.
This was safari at its peak. Endless landscapes filled with life thousands of wildebeests moving together, zebras grazing, elephants roaming, and lions resting under the sun. A rare and thrilling moment came with a close-up sighting of a cheetah in the wild graceful, powerful, unforgettable.
By evening, the journey returned to Karatu, settling into Helen Luxury Lodge. The night carried a different kind of energy, with dinner and live music at Lilac Hotel before returning to rest.

Day Six: Culture and Connection
The final full day shifted focus from wildlife to people and culture. A visit to Safari Land Art Gallery revealed the richness of African creativity handcrafted jewelry, carvings, paintings, and more.
The journey continued to Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant village where over 120 tribes live together. Walking through banana farms, exploring local markets, watching artisans at work, and tasting traditional mbege created a deep, personal connection to Tanzanian life.
The final evening was spent in Moshi at Weru Weru Lodge, offering a peaceful close to an eventful journey.

Day Seven: A Gentle Farewell
The last morning arrived quietly. After breakfast, it was time to head to the airport carrying not just souvenirs, but memories that would linger far longer.
This journey, thoughtfully crafted by Brenda Molel and delivered seamlessly by Ronick Tours & Travel under Director Derrick Remember, was more than a safari. It was an experience of nature, culture, and connection woven together into something truly unforgettable.
Tanzania has a way of reminding you what matters nature in its raw beauty, people in their authenticity, and moments that ask nothing more than your presence.
And when the call of the wild comes again, you’ll know exactly where to go.
