Day 1: Arrival and Kampala City tour
Arrive and transfer to Kampala, check in the hotel of stay. Mid-morning, explore key city highlights like the Gaddafi National Mosque (for Panoramic views of the city), The Kasubi Royal tombs (History of the Buganda Kingdom) and later in the evening, Ndere Cultural Centre (Cultural experience and taste of the Local Cuisine).
Day 2: Rhino Tracking and Murchison Falls
After an early morning breakfast, head out to Murchison falls on the Kampala-Gulu highway covering a distance of approximately 180km in about 3 to 4 hours including stopovers to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white rhino tracking. After tracking, continue to Murchison falls National Park, covering a distance of about 80km in about 1hour 30minutes. Arrive at the hotel, check in, dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Murchison falls game drive and boat Safari
An early morning game drive in the park, to spot the Buffaloes, elephants, Giraffes, Lions and if we get lucky enough leopards as well plus many other wildlife and bird species. An afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River to the bottom of Murchison falls, spotting more of the wild life and some aquatic life. Expect to see Hippos, crocodiles, more bird species and much more. An optional night game drive which has to be pre booked at an extra cost.
Day 4: Top of the Falls and Travel to Kibale National Park
After Breakfast at the hotel, drive to the top of Murchison falls for a view of the 7 meter narrow gorge the Nile River rushes through. Be refreshed with the tiny sprinkles that splash off the mighty falls. Begin the long drive to Kibale forest National Park. The drive takes 6 to 7 hours via the Masindi, Hoima, Kagadi, Kyenjojo Fort Portal highway. Accommodation in Fort portal City.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale
Have an early breakfast and then head to Kibale forest national park, Kanyanchu Visitor center for briefing and allocation of the different families to trek. Trekking the Chimpanzees will take 2 to 3 hours. After having lunch at a local restaurant, you can opt to do the Bigodi wetland nature walk and visit the community for different experiences like the coffee experience, banana beer, juice and gin making and much more. Return to the hotel, dinner and going to bed at Leisure.
Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park
After breakfast at hotel, we’ll check out and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park driving a distance of about 105km in a period of +/-3 hours inclusive of stopovers. Arrive and settle in, evening or night game drive is optional.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park Game drive and Boat Safari
Early morning game drive along the Kasenyi trail, looking out for Lions, Leopards, elephants, Buffaloes, antelopes and many more. In the afternoon, a boat safari on the Kazinga channel, known for its high concentration of hippos and a variety of bird species. Late evening relaxation at the hotel.
Day 8: Ishasha Sector and drive to Bwindi
Drive through the Ishasha sector in search of the famous tree climbing Lions. Continue the drive to Bwindi, this drive is on a rough and bumpy road, on a rainy day it could be very muddy and slippery . The drive can take a total of about six to seven hours, arriving Bwindi in the evening, check in and relax. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 9 Gorrila Trekking
Take Packed breakfast and head out as early to the UWA Buhoma Visitor center for briefing. Gorilla trekking in the Buhoma sector begins at the head office for briefing and allocation of gorilla groups, then spreads out to the various trail heads leading to the groups scattered around the sector. Buhoma sector has five families available for trekking and these include: Mubare, Habinyanja, Rushegura, Muyambi and Katwe gorilla troops.
We will be trekking one of these families and allocation is done during the briefing. The trek can take 2 to 6 hours.
In the evening we shall visit the Batwa community, learn about their way of life, their hunting skills, their fire making skills and have an opportunity to do charity.
Day 10: Bwindi impenetrable forest to Lake Bunyonyi
After having breakfast at the hotel, drive to Lake bunyonyi Via Kanungu to Kisoro rd, approximately 4 to 5 hours. Arrive Kabale in the afternoon and check in to a lakeside accommodation or perhaps at the island. Lunch at the hotel. After lunch, Take a boat cruise along the stunning Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa, enjoying the breath taking scenery views as you head to the punishment Island, get to learn about it’s history and the many other islands.
Evening of relaxation at the hotel.
Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
Take off will be after breakfast, Using the kabale-Mbarara road, it will be a long drive of approximately 8 to 9 hours including stop overs. Alternatively, you can opt to fly from Kisoro airstrip to kampala to make it shorter. Arrive kampala and setle in your accommodation preparing to fly to Kenya the following day.
Day 12: Flight to Mombasa
Early morning transfer to Entebbe international airport to catch a flight to Mombasa. Arrival at Moi international airport, Mombasa. Private transfer will be waiting to pick you up from the airport to the hotel of residence in Diani. Spend all the afternoon and evening relaxing at the beach hotel, enjoying the coastal atmosphere shedding off all the fatigue from the bush, forests and long drives.
Day 13: Kisite Marine Park and Wasini Island Excursion
After an early breakfast, you’ll be picked up for a full day excursion to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park and Wasini Island. The trip starts with a drive to Shimon Jetty, where you’ll board a traditional dhow.
As you sail, lookout for Dolphins swimming in the clear blue waters. At the Marine park, you’ll snorkel and swim among coral reefs, sea turtles and colorful marine fish.
Have a Swahili-style seafood lunch on Wasini Island. Optionally you can also take a cultural walk through the Island’s village. Evening return to Diani Sea resort for Dinner, relaxation and entertainment.
Day 14: Glass-bottom Boat and Diani Beach
Enjoy a half-day glass-bottom boat cruise. This is an ideal way to see the underwater Marine life without having to snorkel, making it suitable for all ages. Your boat will stop at various spots to see colorful fish and corals.
Spend the rest of the day at your Leisure, enjoying the amenities at beach hotel. You can relax by the pool, Sunbathe on Diani beach or try out other water activities offered at the resort.
Enjoy the last dinner at the resort, followed by great evening entertainment offered at the same hotel in a coastal atmosphere.
Day 15: Departure
Take advantage of the resort’s beachfront one last time. You can go for a final walk along the shore or pick up last-minute souvenirs at local shops.
Depending on your flight time, a pre-arranged transfer will take you either to Ukunda airstrip or Mombasa international airport for your return flight.
